First, the three interests/icons meme. If you want me to ask about some of yours, let me know. If you want to ask about any of mine, go ahead and ask.

Eeyore: Winnie the Pooh's depressed little donkey friend. First off, he's awesome. Second, I went to Disney World for spring break senior year of high school and bought a stuffed Eeyore that somehow wound up with this inside joke about smuggling donkeys in small canvas bags. It was hilarious at the time.

Kavalier and Clay: The full title of the novel is The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, and it's by Michael Chabon. It's one of my favorite books. It's one of Seth Cohen's (from The OC) favorite books. It's about this Jewish guy from Brooklyn, Sam, and his cousin, Joe, who escaped from Europe right before the Holocaust. Together they create/write/draw a comic about a superhero called The Escapist in the golden age of comic books. It's also so much more than that, but I don't want to spoil it for you, because you should read the book.

Pedro Almodóvar: He's a Spanish film maker. The movies I've seen of his are Law of Desire, Talk to Her, Bad Education, and Volver. Volver is his most recent film. It's the one Penelope Cruz was nominated for an Oscar for. I just like the way foreign films have a completely different narrative structure to what we have here.

: This is my very first icon. I made it in my computer class in high school on Illustrator. It's a Harry Potter reference. In the 4th book, Draco is turned into a ferret by Moody, and I'm pretty sure it's actually in the book (although I often confuse canon and fanon), but the trio make fun of him, calling him "the amazing, bouncing ferret." Except my lj name is frogy. So I changed it.

: It's Seth Cohen from The OC repeatedly popping up from a swimming pool in scuba gear. In the scene in the show, Ryan is practicing golf, and Seth is retrieving his wayward balls. I don't think the quote has any significance. I'm just more than a little bit in love with Adam Brody and every character I've ever seen him play.

: It's Ryan and Pete. Because even if they're not really having some clandestine (haha) affair right under all of our noses, they've at least exchanged blow jobs once or twice.

And that other meme thing floating around:
